Travel. Connect. Learn. Grow.
Experience education through a new lens while building relationships that can transform you, your students, and your school.
Imagine walking into a school thousands of miles from home and being welcomed—not as a tourist, but as a fellow educator.
Imagine sharing stories, ideas, meals, classrooms, and everyday life with someone whose world may look very different from your own.
Imagine returning home with new perspectives, renewed energy, unforgettable memories, and a friend on the other side of the world.
This is what happens when educators say yes to the BEE Program.
See the World. Share Your World.
Experience another country through the eyes of the people who live and teach there.
Visit schools. Explore communities. Share meals. Discover the everyday experiences that make a culture come alive.
You won't simply visit another country.
You'll be paired with an educator, welcomed into a community, and given the opportunity to build a relationship that can last a lifetime.
Return home with new ideas, new perspectives, and stories that can enrich your teaching and inspire your students.
Sometimes the best professional learning happens far outside the classroom.
The Bilateral Educator Exchange (BEE) Program brings educators together across borders to learn from one another, experience new cultures, and create connections that extend far beyond the exchange itself.
The BEE Program is built around something simple and powerful: Educators open their worlds to one another.
You'll be paired with an educator from Brazil or Uruguay.
Your subject area may be similar—or completely different. What matters most is the opportunity to connect, learn, and share.
Your exchange partner comes to the United States and experiences your life as an educator.
They may visit your school, meet your colleagues and students, spend time with your family, and experience the places and routines that make up your everyday life.
Then it's your turn.
Travel to your partner's country, experience their community, visit schools, and see education and culture through a completely different lens.
The exchange may end, but the learning doesn't.
You return with stories, friendships, new perspectives, and experiences that can continue to influence your teaching, your students, and your school community.
See the World Differently.
And help your students do the same.

"Cross-cultural experiences are more critical now than ever before for teachers and students. We are grateful here at Parke Heritage High School, that our very own Spanish teacher, Patty, was able to be a part of the BEE (Bilateral Educator Exchange Program) and that our students were also able to experience and interact with another teacher from a different culture through this program. The ability for us to help our students learn about and appreciate and respect people from other cultures is critical to helping build a more positive future for our world. Thank you to BEE for providing an avenue to allow this to happen!"
